Kiewa Valley Historical Society Wins Award
Kiewa Valley Historical Society has recently won a major award from Museums Australia which is the main museum organisation which oversees our Australian museums.
The award is for indigenous exhibitions or keeping spaces exhibitions under $20,000. Our exhibition The First People of the Kiewa Valley and Bogong High Plains exhibition, is a evidence based taking two years to research and compile the indigenous cultural heritage, also it was in collaboration with the elders of the Dhudhuroa peoples, Department of Aboriginal Affairs and various others which has developed an interactive, informative exhibition. The judges from the National Museum of Australia and made very complementary statements about our exhibition.
